Should patients who develop muscle breakdown as a result of taking lipid-lowering drugs (i.e., statins) be tested for MH?

There is not enough evidence to link MH to the predisposition of muscle breakdown from such drugs and therefore genetic testing, as a clinical test, is not recommended. More research is needed.
